An academic delegation from the University of Alkafeel visited the "IBB" International Institute for Biochemistry and Biophysics at Tehran University, where they were welcomed by the Dean of the Institute, Prof.Dr. Ali Akbar Mohaddesi, and several faculty members. During the meeting, they discussed avenues for joint collaboration in scientific and research fields and the exchange of technologies and expertise. The delegation toured the scientific departments and research laboratories. The "IBB" Institute, established in 1976 and comprising three scientific departments : Biochemistry, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, comes as a significant research center with national and international research activities. It is affiliated with the "TWAS" Global Academy of Sciences, holds a UNESCO chair for interdisciplinary research in diabetes "UCIRD", and is a member of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology "IUBMB"
