How Alkafeel University Supports SDG 5

Alkafeel University is deeply committed to advancing gender equality through various policies and initiatives:

Supportive Campus Environment for Women: The university provides separate workspaces for women, private prayer rooms, and medical care services, ensuring that female students and staff have access to a comfortable and respectful learning environment. These efforts create an inclusive campus culture where women feel supported and empowered to succeed academically and professionally.

Scholarships and Financial Aid for Female Students: Alkafeel University offers financial assistance, including scholarships and tuition discounts, to female students, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. By reducing financial barriers, the university ensures that women from all backgrounds can access quality education and pursue their academic goals.

  2. :Support for Pregnant women 

    Understanding the unique needs of pregnant students, we offer comfortable beds and resting areas on campus. These spaces are designed to provide a tranquil environment where you can rest and recharge between classes. Our staff is trained to offer assistance as needed, ensuring health and comfort are prioritized.


  3.  The university’s active Guidance Unit, which includes specific subsets focused on female students, offers personal development programs and academic support. This helps female students navigate challenges and prepares them for leadership roles both on campus and beyond.

  4. Leadership and Professional Opportunities for Women: Alkafeel University encourages women to take on leadership roles and participate in decision-making processes within the institution. The university promotes gender equality in all areas, from student government to academic leadership positions, ensuring that women’s voices are represented at all levels.

    Also, many students female or male gets free training after their academic year

    In 2023 for example the number of students who got free training in college of pharmacy, statics bellow

    Total number of female students = 836

    Total number of Male students = 1441

    Total number of student students who got free training = 2277

  5. Health and Well-being: The university’s healthcare initiatives provide free medical care to all staff and students, with special attention to the needs of pregnant women. These services ensure that female students can focus on their education without worrying about healthcare costs, promoting their well-being and success.

  6. Making sure at least 10% of all female student participate
    At the university of Alkafeel we use UIMS system where student scan QR code to register for attendance, this way we extract statics that we analyze, to make sure that at least 10% of female student participate in  different kind of events
