Evidence Supporting Low-Carbon Energy Tracking

The University of Alkafeel has adopted a comprehensive Climate Action Plan, shared with local government bodies and community groups, as part of its commitment to sustainable practices. This initiative addresses the urgent challenges posed by climate change and emphasizes collaborative approaches to build resilience and promote environmental sustainability.

We work closely with local government entities to deliver early warnings about climate-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate the effects of natural disasters. For instance, our partnership with the Najaf Health Department focuses on establishing joint mechanisms for sharing information about climate-related health risks and conducting collaborative research at the intersection of healthcare and climate change.

We have built Solar panels garages replacing our old no efficient garages , with we lead and inspire of Iraq to generate ideas out side of the box to support suitability galas and to live in a better clean energy Iraq

Agriculture and what University of Alkafeel has done for the climate

Bellow are some of the Agriculture unit doing 

• We have: 
  1-contributed 200 plant species to support the Energy and Emissions Reduction Festival at the University of Kufa. We provided educational plant tags to raise awareness about environmental benefits, helping promote sustainability and knowledge on plant diversity.
• 2-donated approximately 3,000 diverse saplings and seedlings to the University of Kufa to support agricultural activities and tree-planting campaigns inside and outside the university.
• 3-donated various plants to support tree-planting initiatives at schools affiliated with the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, contributing to environmental sustainability efforts.
