On Sunday, February 18, 2024, marked the end of the Fifth International Scientific Conference [ISCKU] hosted by the University of Alkafeel under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine. Researchers presented their research papers on the second day, covering various scientific disciplines. A closing ceremony was held, attended by the rector of the University of Alkafeel, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahaan, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, the university vice-rector for scientific affairs, and college deans, faculty members, personnel and participating researchers

    Dr. Al-Mayali emphasized the importance of activating research and scientific activities, highlighting the role of such conferences in finding solutions to societal problems and commending the efforts of the university, the Holy Al- Abbas Shrine and all participating entities for their efforts . She noted that the total number of scientific research papers exceeded 1000, with 670 papers accepted in medical, engineering, and applied science disciplines, distributed across 60 research sessions. Additionally, there were 47 international research papers from 18 countries, including the United States, Britain, Russia, China, Spain, Australia, Iran, Malaysia, India, Turkey, Bulgaria, South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Syria.

    It's worth mentioning that all accepted research papers will be published in internationally Scopus- indexed journals and Clarivate databases. In conclusion, Dr. Al-Dahaan expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the conference, praising the efforts of the team that worked to ensure the success of this scientific event and emphasizing the importance of documenting research and scientific work to advance knowledge and serve society.
