As part of its ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and environmental protection, the College of Dentistry at Alkafeel University organized a workshop on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, titled "Recycling in Dental Clinics and How Sustainable Changes Can Be Implemented." The workshop was held at the teaching clinics at the college.

    The workshop aimed to raise awareness among participants about the importance of recycling in dental clinics and highlight ways to adopt sustainable policies to reduce clinical and environmental waste. The workshop also addressed mechanisms for separating medical and non-medical waste with the aim of improving environmental practices within clinics. The workshop included a questionnaire to measure the extent of the application of recycling concepts to dental clinics and evaluate the procedures followed to achieve sustainability.

The survey results will be used to develop strategies to improve environmental performance in dental clinics and promote a recycling culture within the educational institution.

   This initiative falls within Alkafeel University's commitment to implementing sustainable environmental practices and encouraging its staff and students to adopt responsible solutions that contribute to environmental protection and sustainable development.
