The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel held a special event this morning, Saturday, April 26, 2025, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him). The event was attended by a number of college deans, faculty members, and staff.

The event began with a blessed recitation of ayats from Glorious Quran by seid. Muhannad Al-Mayali, Director of Holy Quran Institute , pertinent to Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, Najaf Branch.

Then a memorial event the preacher Abdullah al-Dajili delivered in a speech addressing the life of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) : his significant contributions to spreading knowledge and establishing the foundations of learning despite the restrictions and persecution he faced at the hands of the Abbasid state.

The preacher pointed out that Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) established a scientific school that graduated thousands of students in the fields of faqh , hadith, Glorious Quran , medicine, chemistry, and debate that set him a pioneer of thought and knowledge. He also highlighted his efforts to confront deviant intellectual trends and his strenuous pursuit of building a society based on sound Islamic principles.

The event concluded with the recitation of elegiac poems that reflected the injustice the Imamexperienced (peace be upon him) and the persecution he endured until his martyrdom due to poisoning.
