University of Alkafeel, affiliated with the Higher Education and Teaching Authority, in cooperation with the Holy Quran Institute at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, Najaf Al-Ashraf branch, held a special gathering on Wednesday morning, January 24, 2024, to celebrate the auspicious anniversary of the birth of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him). The session took place in the halls of the College of Dentistry attended by the vice-rector for scientific affairs , Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, along with several university teaching staff members and students. The gathering began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by students Ali Muslim Shaker and Ali Mohammed Rashid, and student Abbas Shubar participated in presenting anthems for this great occasion. The gathering included reading Al-Fatiha in honor of Iraq's martyrs and mentioning the enlightening details of Amir al-Mu'minin's (peace be upon him) birth, highlighting his effective contributions to establishing the foundations of Islam and his decisive defense and victory for it. It also showcased a range of his noble characteristics, including his care for believers, young and old, and the poor among Muslims. The gathering featured poetic contributions and supplications, along with other diverse activities, adding a spiritual and cultural atmosphere to the event."
