University of Alkafeel held a memorial council on Saturday morning, January 27, 2024, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Zainab Al-Kubra (peace be upon her). The solemn event was attended by the university's Rector, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahaan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, along with several deans, faculty members, and university staff. The council began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Ali Al-Zubaidi from the Holy Quran Institute affiliated with the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, Najaf Al-Ashraf branch, followed by a poignant lecture by Sheikh Hafiz Al-Dujaili, who reviewed the life stages of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her) and her effective role in supporting Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). Her crucial role after the tragedy of Karbala in conveying the Islamic message was highlighted, as well as her enduring legacy and message that reached successive generations, asserting her voice as an echo of the eternal uprising, still resonant in the ears of the oppressors today, making her a pivotal figure in Islamic history."
