University of Alkafeel held a mourning session on the occasion of the martyrdom of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Fatimah, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), on the 13th of Jumada al-Awwal, year 11 AH - the second narration, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. The event was attended by the Rector of University of Alkafeel, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the vice-rector for scientific affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, deans of colleges, heads of departments, and university staff. The council began with verses from the Holy Quran recited by Sheikh Wissam Al-Sabti from the Quranic Institute affiliated with the Holy Al-`Abbas Shrine , Najaf branch, followed by a lecture from Sayyid Jafar Al-Moraj. Sayyid Al-Moraj discussed the greatness of Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and her position with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), her journey in life, and the correct path to Allah through the Prophet and his family (peace be upon them), highlighting the oppression of Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) after her father, her suffering for defending the banner of prophecy and Imamate, and how she was a defender of her father in his mission and her husband in his Imamate, leading to increased injustice from those who usurped the caliphate.
