University of Alkafeel Council held its eighth session headed by Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, university chancellor in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, vice-chancellor for scientific affairs, and hosted the assistants, on Tuesday, 2/25/2025.
The University chancellor opened the session by welcoming the attendees, praising the efforts of the deans of colleges, faculty members and college affiliates, for their high sense of belonging and dedication to work for the dear university students, and their role in enhancing the institutional accreditation process. He stressed the importance of teamwork to achieve accreditation requirements and facilitate the tasks of institutional evaluation teams.
Dr.Al-Dahan stressed the need to hold periodic meetings between deans of colleges and students to observe their suggestions , address the obstacles they face, and provide academic and educational guidance to ensure a supportive educational environment.
He also directed to trace the rates of curriculacompletion to ensure their specified time period before the final exams. He stressed the importance of abiding by the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the approved laws and regulations.
For her part, Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, vice-chancellor for scientific affairs, stressed the importance of being in line with the university academic plans and developing curricula according to modern standards. She also stressed the need to provide full support to students and create an educational integrated environment that helps them achieve excellence and success.
In this regard, the university chancellor stressed the need to observe the state of classrooms and to pay attention to organizing graduation ceremonies according to official regulations, reflecting the university academic identity.
At the end of the session, Dr. Al-Dahan expressed his thanks and appreciation to all attendees, acclaiming their efforts in supporting the university progress and achieving its strategic goals.
