The Student Activities Department at University  of Alkafeel participated in the Iraqi Universities Athletics Championship, hosted by the University of Baghdad, with the participation of more than (70) private and public universities. The championship took place from April 27 to 30, 2025, at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences grounds in the Al-Jadriya Complex. In the championship was there a variety of events : running races, long jump, hammer throw, javelin throw, weight throw , and discus throw.

    The University  of Alkafeel delegation achieved outstanding results : Zain Al-Abidin Ali Hamid gained third place in the 200m and 400m races, Jaafar Haidar Kamal did fifth place in weight throw , Mohammed Sadiq Munther did sixth place, and Hadi Karar Abdul Amir did sixth place in discus throw. The team thus collected five points in the competition . Officially , the university delegation was accompanied by Ms. Itimad Kamel Tawfiq, Head of Student Activities Department at the university, who expressed her pride in the efforts of the students and their distinguished representation of Alkafeel University in such athletics event.
