The Department of Medical Laboratories at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at the University organized a scientific symposium on "The difference between a single-beam and double-beam spectrophotometer" in the General Chemistry Laboratory on Sunday, 6 November 2022. 

     It was presented by Asst. Lect. Fatima H. Muhammad in which she defined the technique of a single-beam and double-beam spectrophotometer. She also clarified that the spectrophotometer is one of the most important devices used in most pathological analyzes, as it is more compact, visually simpler, and less expensive than the dual-beam, but one of the advantages of the dual-beam is more accurate and more frequent in measurements with a higher cost.
