The College of Medical and Health Technologies, Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at University of Alkafeel  held a symposium on : "The Sense of Hearing", in the Seminar Hall on Sunday 16 April 2023. The lecturer , Prof. Dr. Hussein Abdullah Al-Bakka , identified the sense of hearing, how sound is transmitted and the mechanism of hearing sounds.

  The sense of hearing is considered one of the five senses in the human body . It is essential in receiving sounds through special devices in the ear, then transmitting sound vibrations to the nerves, that in turn transmit nerve signals to the brain to translate these sounds into understandable speech.
