The College of Dentistry at University of Alkafeel held a workshop on "Suturing Wounds and Gums" on Thursday, 26/10/2023, presented by the vice-dean for scientific affairs, Dr. Mohammed Hassan Abdul Shahid and Dr. Ziad Al-Huweizi.

The workshop included practical and theoretical aspects, covering the work related to gum suturing, the importance of suturing wounds and gums, complications, and the most important materials and tools used in suturing. It also introduced the latest methods and technologies globally in this field. In the practical aspect, students were divided into groups in the college laboratories to apply various suturing techniques of wounds and gums under the supervision of Prof.s. The workshop concluded with an emphasis on the importance of proper suturing techniques that do not interfere with gum healing, using the latest materials and technologies in modern dentistry.
