The Department of Anesthesia Technologies , College of Medical and Health Technologies  at University of Alkafeel organized a lecture on "Linguistic Competence and Communicative Competence in English" on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The lecture was delivered by Asst. lectur. Muhammad Abdul Hassan Muhsin, during which students were introduced to modern methods used in improving communication skills through effective use of the English language and integrating it into the students' practical life, using it as native speakers do. The workshop emphasized the importance of mastering speaking skills and introducing effective programs in this activity. The lecturer showcased the significance of the English language, discussed the student linguistic problems, and the differences between the Arabic and English languages from linguists' perspectives, and ways to overcome these obstacles to enhance learners' efficiency in the professional field. The workshop concluded with the continuous use of the English language in students' practical and academic lives to solidify its concept and to keep pace with modern studies and research in their field of specialization in the target language.
