Supported by the Rector of University of Alkafeel, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the College of Medicine organized a scientific lecture on "Obesity surgery current status" carried by Dr. Abdul Zahra Abdul Samad Hussein, a consultant in gastrointestinal and obesity surgery from Homerton Medical College, University of Cambridge in London. The lecture, attended by the Rector and Asst. Scientific Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, and college deans, addressed obesity treatment through surgery, highlighting its importance in treating obesity and associated health issues like diabetes, and emphasized the importance of a scientific and clinical approach in treating this condition.
