In an atmosphere full of joy and pride, the College of Dentistry at University of Alkafeel organized the graduation ceremony of its tenth batch, on Wednesday, 2/26/2025, on the university campus, in the presence of prominent academic and official figures.
The ceremony was attended by the President of University of Alkafeel , Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the Chairman of the Najaf Governorate Council, Dr. Hussein Wahid Al-Issawi, vice-chancellor for scientific affairs, Professor Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, the dean of the College of Dentistry, Asst. Prof. Dr. Karim Maktouf Al-Ghanem, and the scientific and administrative assistants, the teaching staff and a large gathering of students' families and relatives.
The ceremony began with the ayats recitation from Glorious Quran, then playing of the national anthem and the "alaba " anthem, the attendees stood for a minute of silence and recited Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. The ceremony also included various items : honoring distinguished professors and outstanding students.
For his part, the President of University of Alkafeel , Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, extended his congratulations to the graduating students and their families, noting that this ceremony embodies the commitment of the university to its scientific mission in qualifying scientifically and professionally trained cadres capable of contributing to the development of the health sector and serving the Iraqi community.
In his speech, the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Karim Maktouf Al-Ghanim, expressed his pride in graduating this batch of dentistry students, stressing the importance of their future role in serving the community and providing health care.
He also praised the great efforts made by the students throughout their years of study, commending the support of Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, the Teaching and Higher Education Commission , the Presidency of University of Alkafeel , parents, and the teaching and administrative staff at the college to achieve this achievement.
The student representative also delivered a speech in which he expressed his thanks and gratitude to University of Alkafeel , parents, and the College of Dentistry for the continuous support that enabled them to reach this important stage in their academic journey.
In a speech by one of the parents, he expressed his pride and honor in the graduation of their children, extending his thanks to University of Alkafeel , the College of Dentistry, the teaching and administrative staff, Holy Al-Abbas Shrine for their efforts in supporting the educational process.
Such an event witnessed an emotional atmosphere with the memorial photos that will remain immortal in the memory of the students and their families, amidst overwhelming joy and congratulations from family and friends.
At the end of the ceremony, the presidency of University of Alkafeel and the College of Dentistry extended their warmest congratulations to the graduating students, wishing them continued success in their professional careers, and that they will be active elements that contribute to building a bright future and serving the nation.
