As part of its efforts to enhance ethical and professional values in medical practice, the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel organized a scientific lecture presented by Prof. Dr. Sarmed Nadeem, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

    The event included a series of interactive lectures for two days, with the participation of second and third year students, as four sessions were presented that addressed various aspects of medical professionalism through an interactive platform that advocated student participation and interaction.

• Basic principles: integrity, empathy, and accountability in medical practice.

• Legal and Ethical considerations: patient confidentiality and medical Islamic ethics.

• Challenges of professionalism: dealing with patient mistrust and communication difficulties.

Clinical application: 

discussing medical cases and practical role-playing exercises.

   The lectures showed a remarkable student interaction, reflecting the interest of the students in the importance of medical professionalism in clinical practice. Student feedback also manifested an increase in awareness and enhanced critical thinking. The success of this series underscores the importance of integrating continuous training in medical professionalism into the curriculum, to ensure the preparation of doctors with high professional and ethical competence.
