As part of the academic activities of the College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel , the Lifelong Learning Unit held a seminar :

"Correlation between Serum Vitamin D and Plaque Psoriasis."

The seminar was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Asia Ali Hamza on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The seminar addressed the relationship between blood vitamin D levels and plaque psoriasis, indicating an inverse correlation between the two. Low vitamin D levels may contribute to the exacerbation of disease symptoms. The immunological mechanisms affected by vitamin D were also highlighted, and the researcher emphasized the importance of monitoring vitamin D levels in psoriasis patients, given its potential role in alleviating symptoms and improving quality of life.The seminar was well attended by faculty members and students, and featured enriching interactions through valuable scientific discussions.
